White Peony (Bai Mu Dan) Tea is the most popular style of traditional white tea and consists of two tea leaves and a silvery bud. The tea is prized for its smooth, sweet flavor and spring woods aroma. Gentle processing and a unique withering process of the leaves brew an amber-orange infusion with low astringency and a mild caffeine level. A delicate flavor to be savored over a few stolen quiet moments.
Heat water (filtered if possible) to 185˚F and add one rounded teaspoon loose leaf tea per cup (apprx. 8 ounces). Infuse the tea leaves for 3–4 minutes depending on taste preference. Can be infused 2-3 times.
