Chinese New Year (also known as the Lunar New Year or Spring Festival) is the most important and longest holiday of the year across many Asian countries and cultures. The Chinese calendar has it's own type of astrological symbolism. There are 12 animal zodiac symbols and each year is designated as the year of a particular animal, rotating through all of the animals on a 12 year cycle. 2009 was the Year of the Ox and the Year of the Tiger after 2010 will not make an appearance again until 2022.
Zen Tara Tea celebrates the Year of the Tiger with an invigorating tea to insure good health and good fortune throughout the coming year. We've taken one of the most popular Chinese black teas, a medium bodied Pu-erh tea and combined it with the most popular fruit of the Chinese New Year, the orange - a specially selected lucky red orange (aka Ruby, Moro or Blood orange). Available in a Limited Edition Tin (5.5"h x 2.5") with vibrant graphic labels or our standard stand-up pouch package.
