This minty green tea Chai is one one of our most popular green tea blends. It is an exotic twist on traditional Indian Chai flavors with a full-bodied sweetness, bold minty flavor and zesty notes of cardamom, ginger and spices. Maghreb Mint Green Tea Chai can either be prepared like tea, boiled North African style with sugar and water or prepared with milk like Indian Masala Chai. Made strong and sweetened, this blend refreshes and soothes the stomach, sinuses and throat.
Heat water to a boil, 212˚F and add one rounded teaspoon loose leaf tea per cup (apprx. 8 ounces). If preparing tea style, infuse the tea leaves for 3–4 minutes depending on taste preference and add milk and a sweetner if desired.
Want to try a more traditional way of preparing your Masala Chai? Take 1 tablespoon of loose leaf chai blend, plus a 1/2 cup of milk, 3/4 of cup of water, and 1.5 tablespoons of sweetner and add to a small sauce pan. (For more than one serving multiply the ingredients by the number of servings). Bring the chai and liquids to a boil, reduce the heat, cover, and simmer for three minutes. Strain the heated chai tea into serving cups and enjoy!
