Organic Black Tea with Lime
A well-balanced blending of organic black teas from the foothills of the Himalayas in India with a hint of lime. The lime flavor does not overpower the tea or have an artificial aftertaste.
At Zen Tara there are primarily two tea buyers and occasionally one or the other of us will bring in a "Surprise!" new tea to the roster. The first time this Organic Black Tea with Lime arrived at our door, I couldn't imagine what was going through our other buyer's head when they ordered lime black tea? I had no desire to even try a cup, hoping that it would just go away. But duty called and I braced myself and... it was good... gooood.
Begging a thousand pardons for ever doubting my buying partner, I can recommend this tea that has won a place in the cupboard as a something-different-kind-of tea for those days when you look at your tea stash and want to break up your routine a little. Not overly citrus flavored, not a "key" lime knock-out flavor that turns your tea into a tropical punch, it is just a nice medium bodied black tea with a lingering lime note at the end.
How to Prepare your Lime Black Tea
Heat water (filtered if possible) to a boil, 212˚F, and let cool slightly before adding one teaspoon of tea per cup (apprx. 8 ounces). Infuse for 3–4 minutes depending on taste preference. Can be drunk plain, or may be slightly sweetened if desired.
