Organic Decaf Island Green Tea with Papaya & Pineapple

A tea that takes you on a trip to a Caribbean island with sun drenched flavors and a laid back attitude. A decaffeinated green tea you can enjoy hot or iced, morning or evening. The refreshing taste of antioxidant rich green tea is balanced by our blend of two tropical fruits and flowers.

The green tea is decaffeinated using the water process method in order to retain it's organic status. Freshly harvested tea leaves are soaked in hot water. This process removes 98% of the caffeine but leaves most of the nutrients intact. A 2007 study published in the Food Chemistry Journal found that as much as 95% of the healthy green tea catechins are preserved by this decaffeination process.

How to Prepare Decaf Island Green Tea

Heat water (filtered, if possible) to a low boil and let cool to 180 degrees, add one rounded teaspoon of loose leaf tea per cup (apprx. 8 ounces). Infuse the tea for 2–3 minutes depending on taste preference. Sweeten to preference.
